Waratah Park Country House with its bushland setting, adjacent the 8,000acre Cape Liptrap Coastal Park, overlooking Waratah Bay and Wilsons Promontory provides an ideal secluded location for you to relax and enjoy your time together with that special someone.
AT NIGHT Waratah Park Country House, Waratah Bay, is the perfect end to a perfect day of bushwalking at Wilson's Prom. Or you may have been bird watching at Waratah Bay, wind surfing at Shallow Inlet or just sitting on the beach at the nearby Sandy Point or Wilsons Promontory National Park. Picture yourself.... after a leisurely dinner, curled up in front of our huge open log fireplace, enjoying your local wine, a selection of cheeses, and your complimentary port.
Then, perhaps a glass of champagne in your personal spa, and while you lie in bed, watch the stars twinkle in the night sky over Bass Strait. The stars seem that much brighter when viewed over the ocean. What could be more romantic!
DURING THE DAY Enjoy a chorus of native birds as they serenade you over your morning cuppa. Then, enjoy a light or a hearty cooked breakfast before you begin your relaxing or adventurous day together exploring South Gippsland and Wilsons Promontory National Park.
The verandah and guest bedrooms are the perfect vantage points to "seawatch" or to see a whale or two as they pass on their way to north. Passing boats create interest and lead to anecdotes about the amazing maritime history of the area.
Native wildlife are prone to visit too - kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidna and goanna's usually pass from the Cape Liptrap Coastal Park next door to our large dam for a drink on sunrise and sunset.

Now you can leave Melbourne (Microflite's Yarra River Helipad - opposite Crown Casino) and be a Waratah Park Country House in less than 1 hour.

Wake in the morning to the sound of birds singing and maybe you will catch a glimpse of the local wildlife - kangaroo, wallaby, echidna, goanna, koala are all found on the property and nearby. You can even take an optional flight over Wilsons Promontory National Park for a birds eye view of the area before flying back to Melbourne - rested and relaxed from your adventure.
