Waratah Park Country House, Waratah Bay,  is home to The Prom Restaurant.  The Prom Restaurant is set on a secluded hillside above Waratah Bay with spectacular panoramic seascape views over Bass Strait, Wilsons Promontory National Park, Waratah Bay and Shallow Inlet.  12 Bass Strait Islands are in sight and 2 of these are Tasmanian Islands (so you can actually see Victoria and Tasmania at once). 

Paula Thomson's food is inspired by the abundance of local, seasonal (organic wherever possible) produce, which she chooses daily for its flavour and freshness.  In addition, Bill and Paula have a large organic vegetable garden and take pride in using their own vegetables wherever possible, along with the free range eggs from the contented chooks which are housed nearby. You are welcome to check out the vegie garden and chook area during your stay!

The restaurant is spacious and well appointed and the service is always friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Paula presents a cosmopolitan menu with dishes from around the world, as well as those with a typically Australian flavour.  Paula is only too pleased to cater for those people with special dietary requirements (e.g. Coeliac - gluten free, exclusion diets etc) with adequate advance notice. 

Bill Thomson's fully licenced bar is well stocked with local (South Gippsland), Victorian and Interstate wines (and spirits) to compliment Paula's menu.

The Prom Restaurant menu changes daily - not just with the seasons.
